Frequently Asked Questions

"How will you find our site(s)?"

Once we receive our quotation form back from you (which will include your physical site address) we will send you a custom map of the immediate area surrounding your site.  We will ask you to provide a simple sketch of your site including building footprints, property lines, parking areas, etc. Once we receive this map back from you, we can correlate your site to an exact latitude and longitude accurate to within about 50 feet.  We then program your site coordinates into the onboard GPS on our aircraft which will put us directly over your site.

"What exactly is your Satisfaction Guarantee Policy?"

Like any other product or service you order, when that product or service arrives payment is expected provided it is what you ordered and the quality is what you expected.  With aerial photography, the product is your site.  You need to know if your site is "photo worthy" and will result in a pleasing aerial photograph.  In almost all cases we can provide a view that will nicely complement your site (most sites are very photo worthy).  We will provide you with high quality aerial photographs of your site taken from the angles and directions that you want.  If we fail to provide you with the angles and directions that you specify, then we did not provide the product that you ordered -- no charges will apply with the return of all proofs.  Regarding the quality, aerial photography is all that we do -- we know aerials ! However, on very rare occasions, we get caught in fast-moving, unfavorable weather such as an overcast or poor visibility. We absolutely do not intentionally photograph in these conditions because the quality of the photos will be affected.  In most cases, we have lab techniques that can minimize these effects, however, if we are forced to provide aerial photos under these conditions that do not meet your expectations, then we did not provide the quality that you had expected -- no charge will apply with the return of all proofs.

"How large of an area can you cover?"

With oblique aerial photography, a virtually unlimited amount of area can be covered.  However with increasing area comes decreasing visibility and decreasing detail.  Therefore, we recommend not exceeding a nominal area of about 2-3 square miles which is about 2000 acres.  The vast majority of the sites that we photograph are nowhere near this size. However, we can capture details from sites as large as this.

"We had an aerial photograph taken years ago and want to duplicate the same view. Can you do this?"

Yes. Along with the map that we send you (as described above) you will also receive a sheet entitled "Angle Choices and Questionnaire".  On the map we will ask you to show from which direction(s) you want the photographs taken. Then, on the Angle Choices and Questionnaire sheet, you can choose from which angle(s) you want the photographs taken.  Based on these two combinations, we can duplicate the view of any previews photograph that you have.

"How and when are we billed for your products and services."

You will receive a single invoice once we have completed all requested services including the basic aerial photography shoot and have shipped any additional products you have ordered.

"How long do you keep our negatives on file?"

We keep all negatives a minimum of five (5) years.  You can order additional products from us anytime after the initial photography is complete.

"How do you cover the vast majority of the country from one location?"

We have multiple aircraft and photographers based throughout various regions of the country who cover multiple states within their region.  All marketing, site coordination and planning are carried out in our Pennsylvania headquarters and distributed to our regional photographers.
